Feeling "Ecstatic" following the release of his acclaimed 'Wolves' Clothing' album, Curbside Jones takes Japan on 'Milk Tea Chronicles'. Curbside Jones departs from the dark lyrical content but does not hide behind his beats; the newlywed groom finds refuge in the hooks and melodies which is foreign territory that he turns into his stomping ground. Curbside Jones may be "counting sheep" but he isn't asleep: he is living his dreams. Each replay is a revisit where something new can be appreciated. JALENKWRIGHT
Curbside Jones introduces listeners to CMO, a cellphone voiced by De'John Linward (the same one mentioned in "All Hung Up"). Deezie Brown and Pliny Science provide hard-hitting verses on "Ecstatic 1.8" while Curbside Jones retains his original chorus. Each song on 'Voicemail Blues' represents a message left by one of CMO's friends voiced by Curbside Jones and his rap peers. "Stop Your Liching" however closes with an ominous harbinger left by The Lich (previously mentioned on "Escape The Litch"). JALENKWRIGHT
Just a beautiful jazzy rap album with buttery smooth flows versed with huge talent. It's not only lovely to the ears, but the lyrics are profound and empowering about the struggles that she faces. zhangtastic
